whenis.it is for finding out what is on: a concert this weekend, a market next month, a festival in a city you are about to visit. It is also for publishing your own events so that other people can find them.
Finding something
Search by name, browse a city or a venue, or open Discovery and narrow by date, category and how far you are willing to travel. Every event page says where it is, when it starts and where to buy a ticket, when the organizer supplied one.
Keeping track
Save the events you mean to go to and they collect in one list, which you can subscribe to from your own calendar. Follow an organizer, a venue or a performer, and whatever they announce next turns up under Following.
Publishing your own
Anyone with an account can publish an event, on their own or on behalf of an organization. Give it a name, a time and a place; add a description, a ticket link, the acts appearing and the categories it belongs under. It stays a draft until you say otherwise, and you can take it down again whenever you like.
Where the events come from
Two places: people who publish them here, and public listings imported from ticketing platforms and regional event guides. An imported event names the source it came from.
Wherever you are reading from
The site is written in English, Swedish, German, Spanish and French, and it states every time in your own zone rather than the organizer's.
